Plus, the spacious facilities were an absolute win, making dinner prep a breeze.

The room we were given was not what I expected. It felt more like a cramped studio minus a proper dining setup, especially tricky with a toddler in tow. And when I raised my concern, the staff didn’t seem to understand my disappointment—good vibes did shine through, but I was left wishing for a better setup.

Whale spotting in Caloundra! 🐋

We had a room overlooking the ocean and actually spotted whales from our balcony! The view was so lekker, and we strolled to the local surf club for drinks and dinner, super close by. The little couch in the room was a nice touch too!

One thing I’d say is the hair dryer in the bathroom had some dodgy wires – a bit worrying!

The stay was mostly enjoyable with a fantastic location just a short walk from Kings Beach, perfect for foreshore walks and nearby cafes. The unit was well-stocked and offered great amenities like a good washing machine and dryer. the ventilation in the bathroom left much to be desired, and I would have appreciated a heads-up regarding the service schedule mid-stay. it was a lovely place with good breakfasts!

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend escape

Great water views from my apartment. Clean with up-to-date furnishings, located above a couple of eateries but still quiet. Enjoyed the pool area, which gets morning sun. The resort is close to parks and walks, making it easy to explore. the breakfast included was a bit disappointing — just light options with no coffee or tea included. I found the communication prior to arrival excellent, but I wished the kitchen had a better setup. Similar to others, I faced issues with limited kitchen supplies. just a couple of sachets of dishwashing powder for the stay. It would have been nice to have enough basic amenities for everyone, especially for a longer visit. a good place for families, but could enhance guest experience with better supply logistics.

Wonderful location near the beach and excellent amenities.

Our stay was marred by a lack of basic kitchen supplies. Competently, the apartment was unclean upon arrival, leaving us frustrated. The limited service and inadequate toiletries for our family size made the experience even worse.

the shearwater is in a fantastic location, just a minute away from the beach. i loved the heated pool, and the breakfast tokens were a nice touch, even if you need to pay for drinks. we enjoyed watching the big cargo ships from our facility while soaking up those great views.

Perfect view and cozy stay

We stayed 4 nights in a studio, which was cute and had a nice little balcony with ocean views. Location is fab, right near the beach and some great places to eat. The pool area was really nice for relaxing too. One thing tho, the kitchen could use more utensils for cooking.

The location was fantastic, right across from Kings Beach, with beautiful ocean views that offered a perfect backdrop for morning coffee on the balcony! The apartment was well-equipped, featuring a spacious layout and access to a great pool area for relaxation. Having a variety of dining options, like the amazing breakfast at the Frocals café, added a delightful touch to our stay.
